Collectible Flies

I have been collecting flies for years. Many of those pictured here comes from friends and from their collections. All of them are safely guarded in wood boxes. Very often I open them and I go through the content, I pick up a fly and I keep it in my palm for minutes, observing the details and the beauty. Every fly has a story to tell and I remember the provenance of each of them or their tier or previous owner.

Ho collezionato mosche per anni. Molte di quelle presentate qui provengono da amici e dalle loro collezioni. Tutte queste mosche sono protette e conservate in scatole di legno. Spesso le apro e inizio a esplorarne il contenuto, scelgo una mosca e la tengo nel palmo della mano per interi minuti, osservandone i dettagli e la bellezza. Ognuna di queste mosche ha una storia da raccontare e ricordo la provenienza di tutte, ricordo il loro costruttore o il loro precedente proprietario.
